Crochet with beads: Amber dress from Duplet 147 close-up

by Svetlana Bekreneva

Dress like this, made in complicated mixed crochet techniques,
can not have common patterns.
This is a product of designer's experience, fantasy and skills.

Post for newbies - inspirational!

You never know what you can do till you try.

She tried Irish crochet in 2009. She was absolutely new in the technique.
Now we all recognize her style: meet Galina Verten aka Assia!

This famous model is published in Zhurnal Mod 544 with patterns and description

Galina is Ukrainian who lives in Verona, Italy. Verona, as you all know, is a home of Shakespeare's Juliet. May be this is a key?

This model is available to buy for USD 2075 only :)
or you can make a replica yourself using charts from Duplet magazines

The "secret" of her design is very accurate crochet. All nets are made with hooks 0.6 - 0.7 mm!!!
Flovers are embossed. Leaves are whimsical.
The dress design is always non-simmetric, it's important!
And of course, the game of colors:
and a shine of seed beads broidery:

This emerald dress is fantastic. It is for sale for USD 2670 and it's worth it!

Closer look. Designer shows ready dress:

The most boring job in Irish crochet is netting. Leaves and flowers are fairly easy to crochet, you can do it everywhere: watching TV, waiting your child on the basketball court, even sitting in a traffic jam :)
But the netting is always holy terror for Irish crochet newbies. It must be accurate, neat and wise. That is why Duplet published great Netting Special collection with zillion of patterns, charts, pictures, methods and master-classes on how to do and how to assemble everything together.

This release will be also interesting to filet crocheter - there are tons of unusual patterns with common stitches
and lot of more... on 160 pages
